Devoted to Prayer
Join the EastPointe Bible Church elders & congregation in their goal of being more intentional about prayer in 2022. We pray at a monthly gathering that will next be on Wednesday, AUGUST 24 @ 6:30 p.m. We will be focusing on intentionally spending more time with God in prayer – Together. From Frequent Terms Christians Use: “Pray: (Philippians 4:6-7; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18; John 17; Matthew 6:9-13; Romans 8:26) To talk with God. People in every religion pray, but for those in God’s family, we can converse with God through faith in Jesus. Jesus prayed for his followers, John 17, and taught them how to pray, the Lord’s Prayer, Matthew 6. The Holy Spirit helps us pray when we don’t have the words.”
Our Victory in Christ – ’26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.’ Romans 8:26-27 NASB
God wants to use you, a willing, submissive vessel of service. Praying for others is a service to God. Trust & obey Him. Keep relating to others in practical, simple, and natural ways. Know them. Be approving, respecting their precious time & situation.
